Hello from the Etihad lounge in Melbourne! I’m currently waiting 7 hours until I leave for Abu Dhabi. 7 hours seems just ridiculous waiting for a flight but I’m getting work done and being productive.

Anyway, a few weeks ago I did a full photo tour/review of the magnificent Melbourne lounge but the only thing that was missing were the meals and drinks. This time I’m in here as a passenger and am able to sample their new summer menu which was brought out a few days after my tour.

Here are the menu’s for lunch and dinner:

a menu of a restaurant

a menu of salads and cheese

Here is what I decided to try:

For the starter I had the Southern Calamari

For the main, I had the Free Range Goulburn Valley Chicken Tagine

And for dessert I had the Sticky Arabian Date Pudding

And for a drink I had the Winglet cocktail

As expected the quality of the food was second to none. Everything was brought out fast, the service was personal and warming and the food was fresh and tasted fantastic!
