Cathay Pacific & Lufthansa Codeshare Services Now Available For Purchase

On the 27th of March Cathay Pacific and The Lufthansa Group (Lufthansa/Swiss/Austrian) signed a co-operation agreement. In this agreement, the airlines will codeshare on certain routes and receive reciprocal benefits for Asia Miles, Miles and More and Marco Polo Club.

Thanks to the new partnership Cathay Pacific passengers will be able to travel to 14 new destinations in countries like Austria, Germany, Berlin, Norway, Hungary etc. The ‘CX’ code will be placed on the services operated by the Lufthansa Group to those 14 new destinations.

The partnership sees great connection opportunities in the Europe, Hong Kong, Australia & New Zealand region.

The new codeshare services will begin at the end of this month, the 26th of April to be exact.

The partnership greatly benefits both carriers immensely. Connections to new destinations are now much simpler with baggage being able to be checked all the way to your final destination and the reciprocal benefits in the frequent flyer programs offer great earning and redeeming opportunities which previously weren’t available.
