I briefly talked about the Sydney Vivid Festival recently on my post about The 3 Best Points Hotels For Sydney’s Vivid Festival. For those that didn’t see the post, Vivid is basically a massive light and sound festival that is spread all around Sydney including the CBD and major tourist attractions. As an example, the Sydney Opera House is light up with amazing light shows which constantly change and it’s really cool thing to watch.

If you’ve never seen the festival, it’s worth going and having a look – even if you do live in the city. American Express have been promoting the Explorer credit card and have organised some great inclusions for American Express cardholders during the event.
American Express are a major sponsor of the festival hence why they’re offering some pretty fantastic offers while Vivid is running.
American Express are allowing all cardholders access to their ‘lounge’ which is located on Level 6 of the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia building. You’ll be able to sit down, have some beverages and relax while having a brilliant view of Sydney. You can also get $10 back when spending $20 at the lounge but you’ll have to register for that first. To access the lounge, you just have to show your card. It’s open from 5:30 – 10 pm on Monday – Thursday and 5:00 pm till 11 pm Friday – Sunday.

There’s also some great Amex Offers available for dining when using Dimmi. I haven’t talked about Amex offers too much previously but they’re pretty fantastic. Basically, If you spend a certain amount at a certain place, you’ll be a set $ amount back. In this case for vivid, you’ll get $20 back for every $50 spent on the Explorer card at eligible restaurants. You have to register for them and you can do that via the American Express App on your smartphone.
