Review – JW Marriott Dubai Deluxe Corner Suite

On my recent visit to Dubai I had a one-night stopover and decided I’d stay at the JW Marriott Marquis. As it’s currently summer it the Middle East, rates for hotels are often extremely well priced and this was the case at the time of booking, I was able to get a basic room for just over $150 AUD which is great value.

At check-in I was introduced tp guest services manager Lara who explained I had been upgraded to a suite, gave me a brief introduction of the property and welcomed me to the hotel. Lara if you’re reading this, thank you! you’re amazing (you’ll see why further down the post).

The JW Marriott Marquis in Dubai is a category 5 hotel which means if you want to use your points, you’ll need to use 35,000 points for a standard night.

When I booked the room I just booked a basic deluxe room however I was upgraded to a Corner Deluxe Suite which was a really nice surprise.

The view from the room wasn’t too bad either, shame about the very dirty windows though.

The one aspect of the stay that blew me away the most was the welcome gift I received during my stay. As a Gold with Marriott, you’ll often find some fruits or sweets as a gift, this was next level. The cake was lovely but was really amazed me was the hand drawn welcome letter, now that’s a personal welcome gift!

Overall

I had a fantastic stay at the JW Marriott Dubai and would definitely return when I get the opportunity. The hotel also has a large variety of restaurants which looked great but I didn’t have enough time to try them out.

The hotel itself is modern, clean and very large in size but what impressed me the most was the friendliness from the staff. From the moment of checking in, the staff were amazing.

My wife and I stayed in the Marriott back in May .We also had the pleasure of staying in the Corner Suite-Level 12 from memory.
Can’t say enough about our stay, the suite was fabulous and the staff were exceptional!
Love Dubai and we will be back to stay again at the same Marriott Marquis!
