It’s been an interesting few weeks for me with a ton of travel and also trying to recover from illness. Still, I’m happy to report I’m finally feeling better and everything is prepared and ready for my next big trip overseas, and it’s one I’m very excited for. You may have seen my posts a few weeks ago about going to Brazil. However, I had to end that trip short for personal reasons, and I didn’t actually get the chance to visit.
Sunday is the start of Dubai Airshow, and I’m excited to say I’ll be attending it for the first time. I’ve wanted to visit this particular show for as long as I can remember, so I’m very excited to be finally ticking it off my bucket list of things I want to see.
For this trip, I’ve completely emptied my Qantas points in my account as well as using transfer bonuses from credit card partners to redeem for all of these flights; I don’t tend to use Qantas points unless I absolutely need to. Still, I think I’ve gotten some pretty great seats, and they’re also products I’ve flown but not on long-hauls.
Emirates First Class
I’ve flown Emirates First Class a handful of times, but each flight has been less than 8 hours, I’m finally going to see what it’s like on a long-haul service.
I was able to secure a one-way redemption for 162,000 points and will be taking the flight from Sydney – using the Qantas first lounge before the flight is always a bonus so as soon as I saw the seat available I jumped at it.
Emirates A380 Business Class
Just like Emirates first, I’ve flown their business class a number of times but this time It’s going to be thoroughly reviewed as every other trip somehow I’ve passed out as soon as I get on board, go figure I can’t sleep in a regular bed at home yet can have a great sleep even sitting upright.
Qantas 787 Business Class
I was a big fan of the 787 business class product on Qantas, and I’m happy to be flying it again but on a longer service. I’ve found the availability lately from the US to be actually quite excellent, and I was able to secure a flight directly into Brisbane – very impressed!
These are the primary flight I’ve booked so far, and I also have my flight from Brazil to the US on hold and will confirm that shortly and update the post with the details.
I’m really excited about this trip, and it’s going to give me a lot of content, especially at the airshow. I’ll also be doing a meet up in Rio so when I get all the details and confirmation for that; I’ll do a separate post with all of the details.
What are you most excited to see on this trip?
