Qantas Removing Fuel Surcharges From Oneworld Fares Originating In Australia

Qantas have today announced that they will be removing fuel surcharges from Oneworld fare’s originating in Australia. This is effective today September 1.

Effective 1 September 2016, Qantas will remove its fuel surcharge (YQ) from ex Australia Oneworld fares:

• oneworld Explorer
• Global Explorer
• oneworld Circle Trip Explorer
• oneworld Circle Pacific
• oneworld Circle Asia & South West Pacific
• oneworld Circle Pacific

As a result of this change travel agents will notice a reduction in the price of these all-inclusive fares.

Bottom Line

It’s nice to see Qantas remove these fuel surcharges as they can be quite expensive at times.
