Last year Cathay Pacific announced they would send their A350’s to Brisbane in March, and the date is now available. The airline will start A350 services on the 26th of March. CX156 will depart Hong Kong at 12:45 pm and arrive into Brisbane at 11:15 pm then CX157 will leave Brisbane at 12:55 am and arrive into Hong Kong at 7:35 am on the 27th.
At this time the only award seats available for the service are premium economy seats. If you want to fly on the inaugural service, I will wait until about 1-3 weeks out, and that’s when Cathay often release business class awards.
For those not familiar Cathay’s A350 is a 3 class aircraft, business, premium economy, and economy.
There are 38 Zodiac Cirrus ||| seats in a 1-2-1 configuration that all lay 180 degrees.
28 premium economy seats in a 2-3-2 configuration. Each seat reclines 9 inches, is 20 inches wide and had 40 inches of width.
The aircraft also features 214 economy seats that recline 6 inches. Each seat is also 18 inches wide and has 32-inch pitch.
I’m still deciding if I’ll do the inaugural, I’d love to, but I think I’ll be busy. Who know what could happen.
