Singapore Airlines Bringing the A350 To Melbourne For Longer Than Originally Planned

A few weeks ago I wrote about Singapore Airlines bringing back the A350 to Melbourne in May and June and they’re now extending that time and will be operating the aircraft for the whole of the Northern summer.

Per routesonline.com,

From 01APR17, 3 of 7 weekly SQ207/208 service will be operated by Airbus A350-900XWB aircraft, instead of 777-200ER. With this change, the A350 will be operating this route for entire Northern summer season.

This is fantastic news for passengers! The A350 features their new seating, and I especially found their new Busines Class to be great. The full review can be found here.

The aircraft has 42 Business Suites, 24 new Premium Economy seats and 183 Economy seats.

The airline will be placing the aircraft on the SQ207/8 service which is currently operated by their 777-200. Here is the schedule for the flight:

SQ207 (SIN-MEL) 07:45AM – 17:10PM

SQ208 (MEL-SIN) 18-25PM – 00:15+1AM

If you’re wondering, the availability on the flight is pretty great both from Singapore and Melbourne. If you were to book an award I would recommend Krisflyer as they only charge 55,000 miles one-way.
