You Are Now Able To Earn Qantas Points At Rockpool Restaurants

Earning points while dining is pretty easy in Australia. Both of our major airlines (Qantas & Virgin Australia) offer dining portals and they’re very useful. I use the Qantas dining portal as much as I can as it offers one of the best deals going around. When you’d book a restaurant, you’ll get 100 per person dining. This is fantastic when having large events and family evenings as points add up very quickly.

On top of that, if you use the right credit card, you’ll get even more points or even some free wine or appetisers. When dining out, using the Platinum card is the best choice as you’ll earn 3 points per $! If the restaurant doesn’t take Amex, I’ll see if the restaurant is part of the Citi dining program and if they are, you’ll get that free wine or appetiser.

Well there’s now a new partnership with Qantas and Rockpool which allows you to earn and even use points at all Rockpool restaurants.

Earning points

When earning points, there’s 2 categories. The higher end ones will earn 2 points per dollar but are offering 4 points for the first 6 months and the rest will earn 1 point per dollar but will earn 2 points per dollar for the first 6 months.

Here’s the restaurants and the categories they fall into:

2 points per dollar (4 points for the first 6 months) – Jade Temple, Spice Temple, Rockpool Bar & Grill, Sake Restaurant & Bar, Rosetta Ristorante, Cut Bar & Grill, Fratelli Fresh, Munich Brauhaus, Bavarian Bier Cafe and The Bavarian.

1 point per dollar (2 points for the first 6 months) – Burger Project, Sake Jr & Fratelli Famous.

Using points

Interestingly you’re also able to use Qantas points to pay your bill but I would heavily, HEAVILY avoid doing so as you just don’t get value out of it. Basically, 4000 points will take $20AUD off your bill. Just think, only 1000 points more and you can upgrade a flexi economy ticket from Sydney to Brisbane up to Business which is almost $400 worth.

All you have to do is book here and use your Qantas frequent flyer number. Remember to use a card that also earns bonus points on dining as it will really boost your earning.

Will you be taking advantage of this new promotion?
