Qantaslink is Qantas’ regional airline which helps connect smaller towns and bigger cities with a fleet smaller than their big brother Qantas. Qantaslink operates a fleet of 717’s, A320’s, Fokker 100’s and a fleet of Dash 8 Q400’s, 300’s as well as 200’s which make up over 2000 flights a week all across Australia. I’ve […]
I’ve flown Emirates first class a few times (mostly back when the airline used to run the 5th freedom flights to Auckland), but I hadn’t ever flown it long-haul, and as I was attending the Dubai Airshow, I thought it’d be a perfect time to do so. I originally planned to book my flight out […]
Qantas’ loyalty program is, without a doubt, the biggest in Australia with now over 12 million members. Due to that, the program has had to make some changes (some positive and some negative). A few months ago we saw the program go through a devaluation of sorts for all premium cabin rewards meaning you would […]
Not long ago, I was looking through a cloud backup and managed to find a heap of photos I had previously thought got deleted. To my surprise, I was able to recover photos from my Oman Air flight back in June, so I thought I’d finally get around to writing the post. Due to the […]
On November 14th of this year, Virgin Australia officially unveiled plans for their upcoming service connecting Brisbane to Tokyo at a press conference held here in Brisbane. The airline currently already operates two Hong Kong services, one from Sydney and one from Melbourne. Still, this new service will ultimately end the Melbourne service as the […]
If you’ve ever been into or around Qantas domestic lounges in capital cities in Australia, I’m almost certain you would have seen the hexagon printed doors or glazed glass with no writing on them. For those who haven’t and have always wanted to know what’s in there, this is Qantas’ very selective VIP lounge known […]
A few weeks ago, I did an interview with Finder and decided to stay overnight beforehand. When looking at hotels, Marriott properties were priced well over $1000 for no apparent reason. That’s just insane for a basic room, and I detest Airbnb, so I decided to have a look at staying at an IHG property. […]
For a while now I’ve wanted to get a full list of reviews of both the Qantas and Virgin Australia fleet, I can finally say it’s coming along slowly but surely. Not long ago, I was in Sydney after flying on a 747 from Brisbane and thought it’d be an excellent opportunity to jump onboard […]
Lately, we’ve been seeing some small but still pretty great things being rolled out from Virgin Australia’s Velocity frequent flyer program – let’s just hope that this is a sign of more things to be introduced. As you’re aware, Virgin has a partnership with Atlanta based carrier Delta, similar to how Qantas has a partnership […]
After my less than average flight on Lufthansa, I was glad to be in Singapore. On my stopover, I got to catch up again with my good friend Eloy, and we went to look around the Jewel which I personally hadn’t seen before, and wow, it’s pretty damn cool to look at. I was also […]
Back in June of this year, Qantas announced that they would be expanding their international route network by adding two routes from the Queensland capital of Brisbane. The flying Kangaroo announced that from April 2020, they would launch both Brisbane – San Fransisco as well as Brisbane – Chicago on a later date. Qantas said […]
It’s not too often that I cover news about Jetstar but I thought I would as this change is one that’s surprisingly not negative, it’s actually quite positive and I’m sure it’ll benefit some readers. Low-cost carriers are renowned for charging passengers for pretty much everything and when they do, they’re usually very strict in […]
