Unlike the United States, In Australia, we don’t get large aircraft on domestic sectors which is a little disappointing. However, there are a few occasions during the year where you’re able to fly a 747 on a domestic leg. There has been a few this year already, but in the next few days, there’s an opportunity to do so.

Monday (Feb 13) QF416 Melbourne- Sydney (0:8:30 – 09:55AM)
The 747 that will be used on the route will be a 3 class configured aircraft, Business, Premium Economy, and Economy.

There is a heap of seats available, and your upgrades are almost guaranteed to clear. If you hold Gold or Platinum status, you can select Premium Economy seats for free.
