Review – Mastercard Lounge, Prague

After spending a few days in Prague, I was headed to London. I was originally supposed to be flying British Airways a day later, however, due to terrible conditions in London, the flights were cancelled. That meant rushing to the airport desk and booking whatever flights were available the night before I was supposed to leave. I ended up flying Travel Service which wasn’t actually too bad. If I had flown BA which would have been incredibly expensive I could have used the Menzies lounge but I was travelling with my friend Jacob, and we went to the Mastercard lounge instead.

I’ve been to American Express lounge before but had never had heard of Mastercard lounges, so I was interested to see what it was like. The lounge can be accessed by a number a Mastercard branded Credit Cards, Priority Pass and I think you can even buy access.

The lounge entrance is well set out and looks modern.

The staff were more interested in talking to themselves rather than checking people into the lounge…

The lounge has a heap of comfortable seating and working spaces.

At the entrance, there are two massive boards showing eligible cards that have access to the lounge.

In between that is a charger for phones.

This is the main dining/seating area of the lounge. We were in the lounge at about 9 and there were probably around 6 people max in there.

The kitchen area had a selection of food and drinks to choose from. Not a bad selection compared to some other Priority Pass lounges.

They even had hard liquor self-serve which is something I’ve seen quite a lot of lounges not have, that is pretty good.

The second main seating area consists of more comfortable lounge chairs. The lounge has a heap of powerpoint on the walls.

I guess this could be the equivalent of the Residence lounge? 😉

Bottom Line

The lounge is pretty great for a pay per access/credit card lounge. I’m sure people appreciate the alcohol the most and the selection isn’t bad. We spent about 2 hours in there and the WIFI worked well and pretty fast which is always a good sign.
