Singapore’s Changi airport is known for being the best in the world. The airport has been the best in the world for five consecutive years, and it’s quite easy to see why. The airport has amazing facilities like a cinema, many incredible lounges like the exclusive Singapore Airlines Private Room, and the range of shopping outlets are very impressive.
The airport started construction on T4 in 2014, and it was completed in December of 2016, that’s pretty impressive considering how large the terminal is. Maybe the builders responsible should go over and help get Midfield be built quicker 😉
Anyway, yesterday Changi Airport shared photos of the brand new Terminal on Twitter, and it’s safe to say they didn’t disappoint, it looks pretty fantastic.
The airport has an abundance of natural light and seating which is brilliant to see. It’s said that the terminal will have around 80 or so shopping outlets which is fantastic news if you need to pick something up before you leave.
The new Terminal will be home to 9 airlines – Cathay Pacific, Vietnam Airlines, Korean Air, Cebu Pacific, AirAsia, Thai AirAsia, Indonesia AirAsia, Philippines AirAsia and Spring Airlines. Australian Business Traveller reports this is where Cathay will open their new lounge this year.
The new terminal is set to open later this year which is fantastic to hear.
Overall, Singapore Airport has kept up their reputation with providing a modern and beautiful terminal. These are the only ‘real’ photos of inside the new terminal so far, but we should be seeing more soon. I’d love to see the outlets and other facilities the new terminal will house.
