You may know that certain airlines like Lufthansa and Swiss offer a tarmac transfer in a luxury vehicle but did you know some airports actually offer this for a cost? If you happen to be departing Amsterdam, this is one of the airports around the world that offer this type of experience.

Amsterdam Schiphol VIP services not only gives you a tarmac transfer, they also provide you with lounge access which is connected to the terminal as well as a private security screening area.

From the moment you’re dropped off at the VIP terminal, you will not touch your checked baggage or passport, the complete check-in process is done for you while you relax.

The VIP service can be used on departing flights, arriving flights as well as passengers transiting. To see the rates, click the link here.

When you first enter the lounge, you’ll find a large seating area, a variety of reading materials and bathrooms.

The bathrooms were kept spotless throughout my visit although there weren’t too many people in the lounge.

Behind one of those doors is private rooms which are used for members of the Royal family as well as VIP guests. Unfortunately, I was unable to get photos of these rooms but I was given a look and wow – they’re beautifully set up!

To the left of the entrance is where you’ll find the main bar which also offers a menu for dining.

Guests are able to use these facilities and there is an attendant that frequently pops in to ask if you’d like anything.

While I was doing some work, one of the staff come immigration came to say hello and my passport was stamped.

The lounge also has direct access to the terminal which is perfect for people wanting to get some duty free or walk around and look at the aircraft like I did.

There is also an indoor smoking area located inside the lounge just left to the private suites.
