Coming Up – Singapore Airlines A380 First Class Suites

I seem to be ticking off a lot of products I’ve been wanting to try lately and my next one is a product that is very special to me. Back in 2017, I was invited by Singapore Airlines to attend the delivery flight of their upgraded A380 as well as tour the Airbus facilities in Toulouse and Hamburg as well visiting the training centre for SQ in Singapore.

That was my first ever delivery flight and I absolutely loved it, apart from being terribly ill the entire trip. On that flight, media were given Business Class seats as the First cabin stayed empty for the flight. During the flight we were able to test out the new suites and get a heap of photos, this was a good little tease for what to expect when flying it as a passenger.

The time has now come, and I can finally give you guys my review of Singapore’s newer A380 Suites from Singapore to Sydney.

Singapore Airlines New Suites

Booking Singapore Suites is harder than booking the old suites and will also require A LOT more points. As an example, a one-way flight from Singapore to Sydney in the old suites would cost you 85,000 Krisflyer miles instead of the new suites which cost 155,000 points one-way, that’s quite a massive jump.

This is due to Singapore having only 6 suites now instead of 12 and all awards for First are reserved for advantage awards which are a lot more than the standard saver awards.

Currently, the only destinations where the new Suites are offered are Sydney, Shanghai, Hong Kong, London & Zurich.

This product is often referred to as the best First Class product in the sky and I’m extremely excited to see how it will compare to some of the other First products I’ve flown.

Singapore are very well known for their wonderful hospitality and service onboard as well as offering a phenomenal menu in First which I can’t wait to sample.
