I’ve written about a few airlines now increasing services and now it’s time to talk about the next airline that will be increasing services during the summer travel period. The Indonesian airline Garuda currently operate to Sydney 6 times weekly direct with the A330 and 4 times weekly from Jakarta.

Starting on the 18th of December, the airline will increase to 7 times weekly until the 22nd of January 2020.

Here is the schedule, courtesy of Routesonline,

GA734 DPS0130 – 1030SYD 333 3
GA714 DPS2225 – 0725+1SYD 333 x2

GA715 SYD1000 – 1315DPS 333 x3
GA735 SYD1300 – 1630DPS 333 3

Garuda’s A330-300’s come in two variants and they’re very different but unfortunately, the Denpasar leg is operated mostly by the older configuration -300 aircraft.

The A330-300’s feature a total of 42 lie-flat Business Class seats and 215 Economy seats. The Business Class seats have a pitch of 60” and a width of 20.8.”

The Economy seats are laid out in a 2-4-2 configuration and have a pitch of 33” and a width of 17.”

Garuda are apart of Skyteam so making redemptions for Australian’s is a little difficult as there isn’t too much coverage of the alliance here none of our airline are apart of it.

If you would like to fly Garuda Business, fares are often very well priced out of Denpasar instead ex Australia, this is something to keep in mind.

Have you flown Garuda before?
