Delta Unveil International Premium Economy

Delta Airlines have now unveiled their anticipated international premium economy. The new seats are expected to roll out in late 2017 on A350 and 2018 for 777 aircraft. The A350’s will feature 42 premium economy seats in a 2-4-2 configuration, this is also when they will introduce their Delta One Suite.

Per Delta

With Delta Premium, you will enjoy the service of a dedicated flight attendant and Sky Priority® check-in, boarding, and expedited baggage delivery. Dine on upgraded, premium meals plated on fine Alessi flatware and service ware. Savor complimentary wine, beer and spirits served in Alessi stemware. Enjoy complimentary wine or a Starbucks® coffee.

Here are some photos of the seats:

The seats will feature 38 inches of seat pitch, 19 inches of width and 7 inches of recline.

The seats will feature Tumi amenity kit featuring Malin+Goetz products and will also feature a Westin Heavenly blanket and pillow.

Each seat houses a 13.3-inch high-definition screen and will also include a pair of noise canceling headphones.

The seats will also feature in-seat power and storage for small devices.

Bottom Line

I think it’s a step in the right direction for Delta and I think it will be quite popular. Premium economy is a product that doesn’t change too much but it is very popular in some areas.
