Sydney Airport Signs China-Australia Agreement For Unlimited Capacity

If you’re a frequent reader on the blog you’ll probably notice how many posts I write on asian carriers staring services to Sydney, well soon there are going to be a whole lot more of them.

Sydney aiport have signed a bilateral agreement to allow Chinese carriers unlimited capacity to cater for the extrememly fast growing Australian market. The agreement is now affectice immeditely as it has been approved by Air Services Australia.

Per Sydney Airport,

“We’re delighted this new agreement recognises the huge potential of the Chinese market to Australia’s tourism and trade,” Ms Mather said.

“Our airline partners have expressed strong interest in the potential for new services from China, building on our recent growth and our position as a world leader in Chinese long-haul routes.

“This decision delivers expanded bilateral capacity ahead of demand, maximising the value to the visitor economy.”

Sydney airport has recieved 6 new routes this year alone and from January 2017 they will serve 14 cities in China.

Get ready to see a whole lot more A330’s…
