Coming Up – Hawaiian Airlines A330 First & 2 Hyatt Properties

Good evening from Honolulu! I’m in Hawaii for the next week and a half on a family vacation. My family has always been a big fan of Hawaii and It’s fantastic to be back, despite my cold at the moment which is restricting a few things. Anyway, this trip will bring me some good content and also give me the opportunity to review things I’ve been wanting to try for quite sometime.

Hotels

On this trip, I’ll only be visiting Honolulu and Maui due to another trip which I’ll touch on later. As I’m a Hyatt Globalist, the obvious choice for hotels were Hyatt’s and luckily there’s a few options. For Honolulu, I’m at the Hyatt Regency which has been fantastic so far and they were pretty nice with the upgrade I received.

And as for the hotel in Maui, I’ll be staying at the Hyatt Regency as well. Both of these hotels were payed for with cash at around $500 AUD which is a little pricey but it’s also quite a busy season for tourists visiting the islands.

For those wanting to know how much a free night would cost, both properties are category 5 and require 20,000 points. For those wanting to use cash + points, you’ll need to use 10,000 points and $125USD.

Flights

I’ll be taking Hawaiian from Maui back to Brisbane. The first leg will be on their 717 and I’ll be in First. I’m not expecting too much for the 40 minute leg but it’ll still be interesting to talk and write about.

And for the flight from Honolulu to Brisbane, I’ll be taking Hawaiian’s new lie-flat seats on their A330. I’m really excited to try the product and I’m pretty confident It’ll be a good flight. I’ve flown on the old recliner First seats and the overall service was great, the only letdown was the seats and that’s now fixed.

For the flights, I used American Airlines AAdvantage miles for both legs. For the leg from Maui to Honolulu, I was charged 15,000 miles while the leg to Brisbane from Honolulu was 65,000 miles.

Overall I’m excited to try the hotels and the products and I’ll try to get the reviews up as soon as possible.

For the ones wanting to know about the Abu Dhabi reviews, the SD card has corrupted and I’m trying to recover those images for the reviews.
