Coming Up – The Trip Of A Lifetime

I’ve been extremely lucky to be able travel on so many airlines and travel in premium cabins, it’s something I never thought I’d see myself doing. As most of you know, 90% of my international travel is funded with frequent flyer miles and I’ve never actually taken a ”free” flight courtesy of an airline or even a free night from a hotel. Well, this is about to change however, this is a little different to what you may think.

As many of you have seen, Singapore Airlines unveiled their incredible new Suites and Business Class as well as an updated Premium Economy and Economy cabin. I was trying to figure out how I was going to test out the new products until I got an invitation from the carrier to join a very small group of guests on the delivery flight from Airbus’ factory in Toulouse to Singapore. I knew I couldn’t say no to that and was shocked to even receive an invite.

Singapore Airlines will be flying me over to Toulouse from Brisbane through Singapore and Frankfurt. This means I’ll be able to review their A350 Business Class again as well as the A380’s current Business Class which I haven’t yet tried.

On the way home from Toulouse, I’ll be able to test out the brand new Business which I’m extremely excited about.

As well as these flights, there will be a tour of the Airbus factory, A380 production line and to finish, a tour of the training centre in Singapore.

As always, I will be extremely honest in what the experience is like and I’m sure that’s what you as readers would like to see.

I’m extremely excited for this trip and cannot thank the staff at Singapore Airlines enough for the invite!

You do realise you are going to have to write more than one post a week if you are being sent on a press junket? They will be expecting a LOT of content from you in exchange for this free trip. Ausbt must have written 20 articles in a week about the QF 787 delivery…

I’m well aware and that’s no problem as there is a lot to be covered and a lot of content.

Reviews done on junkets are hardly representative of the typical experience. The airlines knows who you are and the experience is exaggerated in every respect. The review is therefore compromised and not nearly as helpful as an anonymous review.

Thats true. However, from what little Ive read of this blog, Zac does tend to call a spade a spade. Delivery flights themselves are never representative of what the actual service will be like. Still cant wait to read about it.

Thank you so much for your lovely and insightful comment, I really don’t appreciate it. I have just have a few questions for you, 1. Where’s your blog? Oh you don’t have one? You have no idea what goes to into a blog and what I do as my main job. 2. Having a family vaction and resting from illness is hardly pathetic, if you think differently well there must be something wrong with you. Have a lovely day!
