Qatar Confirms Canberra Services To Start In 2017

A few months ago I wrote about Qatar Airways announcing Canberra services however, the airline didn’t actually say when it would happen and it was said to be either 2017/18 but has now been confirmed to be 2017 by a video from Qatar:

It’s still too early to tell when exactly the airline will commence service and what aircraft they’ll use but nonetheless it’s still quite exciting to see them actually launching services. Qatar is also expected to start Auckland services from the 5th of February but who knows if the date will stick or not as it’s been delayed a few times now.

I’m hoping to see their A350 on the route but I have a strong feeling they will use their 777 on the route.

Great news, do you excpect a tag flight to Brisbane maybe? Also how are load factors on Adelaide to Doha?

I’d say it would be just direct to CBR, the Adelaide flights fill up in business and are pretty good in economy.
