Qatar Going Daily Into Adelaide From December, Again

Qatar, Please make up your mind. Qatar Airways will once again go daily into Adelaide from December the 2nd of this year. I say ‘again’ as when the airline first started services to Adelaide they were daily and about three months later they started reducing services to a few weekly.

Qatar A350 Business Class

Here is the schedule courtesy of routesonline.com,

QR914 DOH2110 – 1745+1ADL 359 D
QR915 ADL2155 – 0425+1DOH 359 x37
QR915 ADL2245 – 0505+1DOH 359 37

Obviously, the carrier is performing well on the route otherwise it would be a waste to go daily for no reason. Qatar has been wanting to expand more into Australia however, they are a little bit restricted. The agreement allows Qatar to operate 21 flights to major Australian airports. Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth. The airline is also set to launch Canberra services in February 2018.

Hi Zac, do u know what the deal is with Qatar award seats in J?
Most times there is availability, but some critical times of the year, e.g. July-Aug, mid Dec to end Jan, the award seats seem to be totally blocked, even 12 mths out.

This is even the case on routes which are kind of marginal like DOH-AKL or DOH-ADL…

Victor – Unfortunately, QR availability is unpredictable and can be an absolute pain to find sometimes. I wish they would have a pattern like EY but sadly it’s quite hard to find sometimes.
