Well, this is some news that I completely missed and it’s actually very saddening to see. The A340 is one of my favourite looking aircraft, and it’s one I sadly haven’t flown on much at all. Virgin Atlantic has been operating the A340 for several years, and they operated two variants, the -300 and the […]
Solomon Airlines is a small carrier that is based out of Honiara in the Solomon Islands. The airline itself is relatively small with their network mostly domestic but also reaching other small neighbouring countries as well as regular services to Australia and New Zealand. Solomon has a small fleet with an existing Airbus A320 as […]
Almost every hour, an airline is announcing some sort of cancellation or reduction of service. As I’m Australia based, I try to mainly focus on airline updates for airlines in and around Australia. A few airlines like Virgin, Air New Zealand & Qantas have already announced their capacity reductions, and it’s expected many more will […]
Singapore Airlines has always been known for operating a rather young fleet, just look at the A380’s for an example. The airline does this as they feel that passengers don’t and won’t want to travel on older aircraft so usually after ten years, they get retired or sold off and are replaced with a brand […]
I’ve already posted about Virgin Australia’s change in their policies amid COVID-19 and now it’s time for Qantas and Jetstar’s turn. As I mentioned in my previous posts, the policies announced from our Australian airlines were a little weak and didn’t really give many people cover or reassurance. I glad to announce that from today, […]
COVID-19 is no doubt going to be one of the most impactful things happening in Aviation over the next year and even into the coming years. While it’s visibly hurting tourism and economy’s around the world, airlines are really feeling the pain, and some are also close to major financial problems. Our Australian airlines have […]
I just posted about New Zealand’s restriction, and now it’s Australia’s turn. More and more countries are slowly announcing and introducing restrictions and measures which are meant to assist in the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Australia increased extra measures for passengers coming in from affected countries, but this new measure will be for all […]
The Coronavirus has no doubt been on your mind at least a few times over the past few weeks. It’s pretty evident by the media attention that this is an extremely fast-spreading and deadly virus which can affect most people. While the symptoms range depending on the age of the patient, the scary part is […]
It’s no secret the past couple of years haven’t been the easiest for Virgin Australia, and unfortunately, the whole situation doesn’t seem to be changing anytime soon. The airline has been making losses year after year due to an apparent restructure in management that was never successful. The airline also operated their Hong Kong services […]
Etihad’s A380 is known to be one of the most luxurious passenger aircraft in the sky. The aircraft is fitted with the ultra-luxurious Residence as well as a very impressive first class product that is pretty hard to beat in some aspects. Etihad has only 10 A380’s in their fleet and operates them to London, […]
The COVID-19 virus is far from slowing down it seems as more and more airlines, cruise companies and other major travel vendor are heavily reducing their offerings and in some cases completely cancelling. While there’s a lot of people who are on the fence about it’s severity, one thing that we can all agree on […]
While many airlines around the world are canceling flights and removing services due to lower demand, one of the smaller airlines in the pacific will be doing the complete opposite. Air Vanuatu has announced that they will be increasing frequencies to two Australia destinations, Brisbane & Melbourne. Air Vanuatu is a very interesting airline to […]
