Qatar Airways has just unveiled their brand new super Business Class called ”Qsuite” today at ITB Berlin. The brand new seat will be for their 777 and A350 fleet, the airline’s 787’s and A380’s will receive a different seat as the new product cannot fit the aircraft.
The airline will take delivery of 10 new 777-300ER’s in the second quarter of this year and they will also receive 787-9 aircraft in 2018. The 777’s will be the first to have the new seats. The A350-1000’s will have the seats on them once delivered.
There will be 42 suites in the cabin, the same amount of seats that are already on the 777!
The Qsuites are in a 1-2-1 configuration and each seat is lay-flat at 180 degrees.
The suites are both forward and backwards facing, on the outer and center seats.
As Akbar Al Baker promised, the suites do in fact have sliding doors.
This is the current Business Class product which is found on the A380, A350 and 787 aircraft, the seat has been on Qatar Airways aircraft since 2012.
For those wondering, this is the current product on the 777 fleet. The Qsuites will first debut on the London Heathrow route this June, the exact date and further routes are yet to be announced.
The airline has also made a very nice promotional video about the new product:
Akbar Al Baker mentioned during the unveiling that the product will be almost impossible to copy and he was aiming the statement at his main competitors and enemies *cough Delta cough*. The product definitely looks great, especially with the colours and fittings but is it that ‘revolutionary’?
What are your thoughts on Qatar Airways’s New Qsuite?

For business class it definitely seems revolutionary considering the doors. I like how the TVs in the middle section can slide out to allow a group of four to eat together. I’m just wondering how spacious the solo seats on the sides feel.
Looks pretty cool!
Certainly about time Qatar 777 will get new seats, as the current product is outdated, (also the 330) though the facing front and back seats is not a great idea. Al Baker makes a lot of press noise but just checkout OmanAir newish J class seats which are great yet do not get any coverage.

Not Zodiac – only one company with capability that could do this suite…
Corrected, Thanks.
