A Collection Of Photos From The 2019 Dubai Airshow

The Dubai Airshow was my real first show and I thoroughly enjoyed it, I attended the first two days and then, unfortunately, I got sick so this as well as the rainy weather that was had, restricted me from going the whole week.

I’m an Avgeek at heart so really enjoyed seeing all of the aircraft that the show had to offer, even some of the military aircraft which are quite fascinating. But as I’ve grown up around commercial aircraft and work around them as well as cooperate aircraft, these are the ones that really interested me.
The best part about the static displays is that they were open for media to have a look in, and this is precisely what I did.

I thought it’d be a cool idea to share with you some of my favourite pictures I took at the airshow; all Images are taken by me:

It was also fantastic to see both the Emirates A380 which was fitted with the newer economy seats as well as the new bar area as well as the 777-300ER which is In the new configuration with the new first suites, business class and premium economy seats.

Fiji Airways had brought one of 2 A350-900’s to the show before it continued onto Australia and this was a fantastic opportunity to see it up close and especially have a look in the interiors – to read the full post on the aircraft, take a look here.

But the best aircraft I got the chance to tour was the private A340-500 which was mind-blowing, crazy, crazy stuff. The aircraft’s carpet is hand-stitched, features Chinese silk tapestries and even has custom Versace plates, glassware and cutlery all made specifically for the aircraft. It also featured nine bedrooms and a large shower that I’ve never seen anything like on an aircraft before. As this was privately owned, absolutely no photos were able to be taken.

Next up was the Saudia 787-10, which is a beautiful looking bird, the paint especially fits it so well. The aircraft is in a 2 class configuration with business and economy, and like their other long-haul aircraft, it features a prayer area which can fit eight passengers, yes 8.

I had an absolutely fantastic time at the show and cannot wait to attend again in 2021. I’m also hoping in the future to attend both the Singapore and Farnborough airshow in the coming years.

What is your favourite aircraft from the collection of photos?
