For those not aware, Priority Pass is a membership that allows you access to lounges that accept the card. The membership has access to over 1000 lounges worldwide. For a membership in Australia, it will cost you $99 USD for the annual fee, $27 USD for the membership fee and if you want to take a guest into the lounge it will cost $27 USD. For a Standard Plus membership, the annual fee will cost you $249 USD, the membership fee is $27 USD after you have 10 free visits and the guest fee is $27 USD. And for a prestige membership, the annual fee is $399 USD, there’s no fee for entry and if you want to take a guest it will cost you $27 USD.
Keep in mind that some credit cards include a Priority Pass membership. These cards include the American Express Platinum Charge Personal/Business, Westpac Altitude Black, Ctit Prestige and select Citi Rewards cards.
In Australia, we don’t have too many lounges that take the membership which is quite a shame. The three that do are the Plaza Premium lounge Brisbane and, Reef lounge in Cairns and the Catalina lounge in Darwin.
However, Priority Pass members can now get some use of their memberships at Sydney Airport. Unfortunately, you won’t get lounge access but you can get food at select eateries in Terminal 1, 2 and 3. Card holders and accompanying guests will receive $36 AUD off the bill.
There are 7 restaurants/bars/bistros that will take accept the cards. There’s 3 in Terminal 1 (International flights), 2 and Terminal 2 (Virgin Australia, Jetstar, Tiger and Rex domestic flights) and 2 in Terminal 3 (Qantas and Qantas link domestic flights)
Terminal 1
The three restaurants that accept the membership are Benny Burger, Mach2 and Peroni Bar.
Terminal 2
The two restaurants that accept Priority Pass are Bistro 2020 and Bar & Movida.
Terminal 3
And the restaurants that allow Priority Pass in terminal 3 are Bar Roma and Wok on Air
Even though members can’t get access to a lounge at Sydney, I think this is a pretty innovative and clever Idea from Priority Pass. If you’re really wanting lounge access, you can buy a lounge pass at the Skyteam lounge for around $55 If I remember correctly, feel free to correct me if I’m wrong. If you also hold an eligible American Express Platinum card you’re also able to access the American Express lounge free of charge.

Will be at SYD domestic terminal in 2 weeks time, so will go to QF business lounge first for some refreshment, and take-way at the 2 places mentioned.
This is also available in the loungeclub network:
