Where Can Velocity Gold Members Use Their Vouches In Los Angeles?

You may or may not have heard but last week Virgin Australia dropped lounge access for Velocity Gold members in Los Angeles. This was due to the Star Alliance business class lounge no longer agreeing with the amount of passengers that could enter the lounge.

Business Class and Platinum guests are exempt from this and are able to access the newly opened Etihad lounge.

Virgin will give gold guests only in premium economy and economy 10,000 Velocity points and a $40USD per person or $80USD if you are traveling with a guest. However there is a catch, you can’t use the voucher at every outlet, you can only use the voucher at 3. Here they are:

  • Luckyfish
  • Drink LA
  • 3 Forks

Considering that there are 47 eateries in the whole departure terminal at Tom Bradley, giving three options to choose from is pretty damn disappointing. I would think many Gold members are not happy with the decision.
