Reminder – Virgin Australia Move Check-in Location At LAX

If you haven’t heard, various airlines in Los Angeles are currently undergoing a major terminal swap. The biggest changes will be Delta moving to Terminal 2 and 3 and American Airlines will be taking Terminal 5 which is one of the terminals Delta used.

For Australian airlines, there’s only 1 change that will affect passengers. Qantas check-in desks will continue to stay at Tom Bradley terminal and the flights will continue to depart out of there. The only change is for Virgin Australia passengers. Passengers will no longer use T3 for check-in (where Virgin America was) and instead will have to check-in at Terminal 2. The flights to Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne will continue to depart from Tom Bradley terminal.

How do I get from Terminal 2 to Tom Bradley?

Once you’ve checked-in at Terminal 2 you have two options to get to TBIT. You can walk which isn’t too far or if you don’t want to do that, there will now be a bus taking you straight to TBIT.

Obviously, this isn’t a massive change but it’s worth pointing out to avoid confusion when checking-in. In case you missed it, Velocity Platinum members can use the Emirates lounge and Gold members can use the Etihad lounge. You can take 1 guest in with you and they have to be on the same flight.

Velocity changed access rules again and now Gold members can also access the EK lounge with Platinum members. Passengers in The Business still get the EY lounge.
